Hobby Lobby Grand Opening at Beneva Pointe Shopping Center

SARASOTA, FL May 15, 2013 –Hobby Lobby, a national leader in the arts and crafts industry, opened today and will hold a Grand Opening on May 20 at the newly developed Beneva Pointe shopping center, 8195 S. Tamiami Trail. The location formerly housed a Kmart department store. With the addition of Hobby Lobby, the Beneva Pointe shopping center has undergone a complete facelift including new store facades and landscaping. Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Hobby Lobby started out as a miniature picture frame company founded in a garage by David Green in 1970. From such humble beginnings, the company has grown to 530 stores across the nation that average 55,000 square feet in size and offer more than 65,000 crafting and home décor products. Store hours are Monday through Saturday (excluding holidays) from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. All Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.
